Sunny Days

Sunny days called for sunny dresses. I'm sure this weather won't stick around but here's to wishful thinking.

No more Trenton's Dirty Pants

We normally spend Christmas Eve at my grandpa's house with all of my mom's side of the family. It is tradtion for each of the grandchildren (or in my case the great grandchildren) to open their gifts from the little cousin gift exchage. I just bring a gift for our kids so they can open one too. I just want everyone to rest assured that Dallas is a legit superman now (no more wearing any of this brother's dirty underwear to play the part). Needless to say, he loves these pajamas and tries to wear them everywhere. The best part is that he will not respond to anything unless you address him as superman "No, I not Dallas, I superman!"

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

So one of the things we miss about the good old BYU days is the snow that covers the ground in the winter. We were happy to enjoy it once again. The boys were still a bit sissyish with the whole sledding thing, but enjoyed playing in the snow and fighting with icicle swords. Dave and Oma became pros at sledding down the hill and crashing somewhere toward the end.

Christmas At last

Dave's mom, Oma, absolutely loves the grandkids and they all love her just as much in return.

We headed to Salt Lake late Christmas morning to spend the second half our Christmas break with the Butlers. We enjoyed the beautiful tree and hours of opening presents, but mostly the chance to be with family on such a wonderful holiday.

My attempt at a hobbie

I've always found photography interesting and photoshop even more fun. Bri took some photo classes in high school and I've convinced her to rekindle her interest so that we can have something to be "passionate" about together. It can be hard to find those things sometimes as a couple but they are an amazing blessing when they are found. Hopefully this can be one for us. Here is a link to some of my attempts at photography. http://butlerphotography.blogspot.com/

What "passion" do you share with a loved one?

Tag . .You're it if you're reading this.

Some survey that will at least force me to publish a new post:
How long have you been together? 6 + years

How long did you date? 11 months

How long we're you engaged? close to 3 months

How old is he? 28

Who eats more? Dave, unless we're talking about breakfast then even Dallas out eats Dave

Who eats more sweets? UHHMMM . . . going to have to be me, although Dave will normally eat any baked good I happen to shove in front of his face

Who said "I love you" first? Dave?

Who is taller? Ha Ha . .Dave has close to a foot on me

Who sings better? I'd say Dave again, but I get much more into it than he does when singing along to the radio

Who is smarter? DAVE and he keeps getting smarter . .. . I'm gettig more motherly

Who does the laundry? That award goes to me

Who does the dishes? Mine again (I've tried to implement that mom gets off of dish duty on Sundays because that's how it was in my house growing up, but the tradition hasn't quite stuck yet)

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Me: closer to our bathroom and the nocturnal children

Who pays the bills? that's my fun job

Who mows the lawn? Landscapers currently maintain our little courtyard, but back when it was our responsibility I'd say it was about 70% me and 30% Dave. I actually love mowing the lawn and used to beg to have it be my chore when I was growing up.

Who cooks dinner? Me . . . ( does cold cereal count? That is what I like to "cook" when I know Dave isn't going to be home for dinner)

Who is more stubborn? Dave . . .persistant! Although, he is kind of rubbing off on me. On that note, Dave have you called Keith yet or do I need to call you at school for the fifth day in a row to remind you? =)

Who kissed who first? Dave on the first date like all nice gentlemen because apparently I was totally givin him the green light

Who asked who out? Dave came over and asked if anyone wanted to "play" if my memory serves me correctly

Who proposed? Dave on the grounds of the Provo temple. . .the bulge in his pocket was a dead give away as to what was coming

Who is more sensitive? I'd say me though I feel kind of rough around the edges

Who has more friends? Currently, I'd say Dave because he actually has friends that he does things with at school whereas I'd have to count the gym staff as my "friends" Lifelong. .. probably me because I think girls are just that way.

Who has more siblings? Me 3, Dave 2

That was a lame last question so I am going to add my own . . . .

Who did better? Dave and I always play this game where we say who we think did better in the marriage? AKA who married up overall? I'll leave that up for debate . . .I think we're a great balanced couple.

If you haven't already done this, please waste 15 minutes of your day and answer these questions!
